SENIOR MEMORY BOOKS
Each year, THE Houston Band Boosters create a special, hard cover memory book for our seniors, which is presented to each senior at the Spring Banquet. The kids look forward to receiving their books each year. It’s a Houston High School Band tradition!
Parents have the opportunity get involved by creating a set of 12″ x 12″ scrapbook pages to commemorate their child’s time in the band and at Houston High School. These pages will be included in their child’s book, creating a personalized memory for him or her. Parents wishing to contribute scrapbook pages should create two (2) 12″ x 12″ facing pages (a “double page spread”) designed and embellished however you like. We encourage you to get creative and help us produce this special memory for your child!
Pages must be turned in to the specially marked box in Mr. Taylor’s office by MONDAY, MARCH 30, 2020.
Digital files are also acceptable but must be properly sized (3600 pixels x 3600 pixels, 300 dpi), .jpg or .pdf files. Digital pages must be emailed to Trey Alberson by MONDAY, MARCH 30, 2020.
How does it work and what does it look like? The originals are scanned and sent to the publisher who inserts copies of your child’s pages into the front of his/her book (after the band director’s letter). The original pages (or 12″ x 12″ prints of digital pages) are collected and presented in one large scrapbook to the band director at the end of the year.
Please note: Creation of the scrapbook pages is encouraged but optional, and they are included in the child’s book at no additional charge. Every senior will receive a book, and the scrapbook pages are only included in the specific recipient’s book. There is no additional fee for the senior books.
If you have questions regarding the 2019-2020 Senior Memory Books or scrapbook pages, or if you have digital pictures of your senior and his/her band friends that you would like to submit for possible inclusion in the 2019-2020 Senior Memory Book, please contact Trey Alberson with THE Houston Band Boosters.
We invite you to view some of our previous year’s Senior Memory Books below. Enjoy!
