NOTES FROM THE DIRECTORS

  • Students MUST have COVID Supplies EVERY DAY (Wire Stands, Playing Masks, Bell Covers, Puppy Pads).

  • At the High School, we have had 40 positive cases of COVID since fall break. These have been predominantly attributed to extra-curricular activities. This is why the safety measures we have implemented are now more important than ever. Wear your masks, keep your distance at all times, wash your hands, and remember that it's up to each of us to keep all of us safe.

  • Be sure you're working on the Holiday Music posted to Schoology

  • Details about the video project will be provided next week

  • All West Music is uploaded to Smart Music, be sure to spend class time working on it every day.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving! Stay safe and come back ready to close out the first semester strong!

SENIOR RECOGNITION

We were so happy to be able to honor our class of 2021 Band Members last Friday night. Families were treated to a great senior memories video created by Chandler Kuhn, here is the link to that video.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

Mr. Nesvick, Band Director at HMS is organizing a Salvation Army bell ringing and holiday music performance for December 5th at the Kroger in Germantown. Service Hours will be awarded and its always a good time spreading holiday cheer and raising money for the Salvation Army.

Please click the link and read the directions for sign up. In year's past, it was a huge party and everyone was welcome. Due to space and safety protocols, we are limiting the musicians. This year, the kids will have to prepare some extra music and really know their part before they get there. I used to be able to walk around behind kids with my trumpet and blast their music in their ears so they could learn the part on the fly. Sadly for me, I (Mr. Nesvick) won't be able to do this and kids will need to be prepared. Any questions, please email him at spencer.nesvick@gmsdk12.org. Click below to sign-up:
