Please check our on-line calendar for the newest calendar information. It will be updated as dates are added or changed.
Band Camp is to begin on Monday, July 28th at 8:30 a.m. at the band room. We will finish each day at 4:30 p.m. with the week running through Saturday. There is some pre-camp work that will take place the week before. Guard and battery percussion members will meet on Tuesday and Thursday, July 22nd and 24th between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Horn line folks will meet on the same days between 1:00 and 4:00p.m. You are expected to come to these practices if you are in town.
There will be a picnic before camp begins on Sunday, July 27, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the band room. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided by the band boosters. You may get a call and be asked to help provide other food. The purpose of the picnic is to meet each other and take care of a wide range of camp registration issues. You can make any last minute payments, and you can get a camp t-shirt. Parents should sign up for concession stand work. Kroger bucks will be on sale. Liability releases can be completed. Other questions will be answered. If you do not attend the picnic, please get to the band room by 8:00 a.m. on Monday to be sure you are fully informed and that we have all of your paperwork and money.
Parents please sign up to volunteer this year and help out our band.
A full schedule of performance dates is on the web site and will be updated if times or dates change.
For band camp, please bring sun screen, a large water bottle with your name on it, and dress for the heat. If you bring coolers, do not bring them into the band room. Please leave them in the hallway. Wear a hat. No one will leave campus for lunch or any other reason. A fine lunch will be served by the band parents. Wear comfortable shoes, but no sandals or flip-flops.
Please remember that this is a commitment until our last performance on the last Saturday in October.
The show this year is entitled "Cruisin" and is a collection of various tunes you might hear on the radio as you cruised around on Saturday night. If you are in the horn line, get your music soon and start working.
We have a couple of generators that need to be serviced. If you have time to pick these up and either service them yourself or take them to have them serviced, please let me know.
