2007 Marching Contests

The Houston Band presents, "Reflections of Earth," their 2007 marching season show.  This music, written by Gavin Greenaway, is used every night in the impressive closing ceremonies at EPCOT.  The three movements, Chaos, Reflection, and Celebration, are intended to define humankind's approach to everything from problem solving to courtship to war.  

Our marching season will be a vibrant and busy period of marching competitions throughout the mid-south.  We currently have contests scheduled the following locations. 

September 29:  Crocket County and Gibson County

October 6:  Vanderbilt Marching Invitational, Nashville, TN

October 13:  Northwest Mississippi Community College/Senatobia, MS

October 20:  Bandmaster's Championship, Liberty Bowl, Memphis, TN
    Houston High School marches at approximately 8:15 pm.  Awards are at 9:15pm. 

October 27:  Contest of Champions (M.T.S.U.)
